New Year's Day Hockey Classic Contest Rules

97.1 THE TICKET NEW YEAR’S DAY CLASSIC CONTEST
OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1.  HOW TO ENTER

a. The 97.1 The Ticket New Year’s Day Classic Contest (“Contest”) will begin on Monday, November 17, 2008 at approximately 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and end on Monday, December 15, 2008 at approximately 12:00 pm ET (“Entry Dates”).

b. To participate in the Contest, you must complete and submit a Contest entry form during the Entry Dates at any of the following Select Chevy Dealerships during their normal business hours (9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Monday and Thursdays, 9:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays).  Gordon Chevrolet – 31850 Ford Rd, Garden City, MI  48135; Holiday Chevrolet – 30250 Grand River, Farmington Hills, MI  48336; Jay Chevrolet – 3372 W. c. 97.1 The Ticket is not responsible for lost, misdelivered, illegible, incomplete or late entries, defective or unreadable entries, or any other difficulties regarding the entries.

d. All entries and their content become the property of 97.1 The Ticket and will not be returned.

2.  ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. The Contest is open to all residents of the state of Michigan who possess a valid government-issued picture ID, and are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.  Employees of participating Select Chevy Dealers, 97.1 The Ticket, its licensee, each of their respective parent, subsidiary, and affiliated entities, their advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, and employees of other radio stations in the Detroit metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are not eligible to participate or win.

b. Winners must meet all eligibility requirements to receive any prize package.

c. Contestants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent.  The Station will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and the Station will also delete any entry knowingly received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

3.  PRIZES

a. Eleven (11) Prizes:  Each Prize is a pair of tickets to the NHL Winter Classic game on January 1, 2008 at Wrigley Field in Chicago (Detroit vs. Chicago).  Prize also includes roundtrip charter bus transportation (for two) from Bianco Tours from the 97.1 The Ticket studio to the hotel, from the hotel to the game and from the game back to the studios and one overnight stay (for two; one room, double occupancy) in a King Bed Room at the Dana Hotel and Spa in Chicago – located at 660 North State Street, Chicago, IL 60610.  Approximate Retail Value: $800 per Prize.

b. All prizes or prize certificates must be picked up at the office of 97.1 The Ticket on December 31, 2008 before leaving for the trip.  Prizes must be claimed at least one day prior to the date listed on the tickets.  Prizes not claimed within the stated time limit will be forfeited.  Forfeited prizes become the property of 97.1 The Ticket.

c. There are no substitutions, transfers, or cash equivalents for prizes, except that Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash.  The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses.  Other restrictions may apply.

4.  SELECTION OF WINNERS

a. Decisions of 97.1 The Ticket management with respect to the Contest are final.

b. On December 16, 2008, at approximately 12:00 pm ET, 97.1 The Ticket management will select the eleven (11) potential Prize winners in a random drawing of all valid entries received.  Winner will be contacted via phone or email.  If the winner cannot be contacted by 12 Noon ET on December 19, 2008, a new winner will be randomly selected out of remaining eligible entries.

c. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.

d. Winners need not listen or be present to win.

e. 97.1 The Ticket reserves the right to not choose a winner if no eligible entries are submitted.

f. Prize winners must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within ten (10) days of winning or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected in a random drawing of the remaining valid entries.  If a potential Prize winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits prize.

5. CONDITIONS

a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners.  Winners will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize.

b. By participating in the Contest, winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.

c. Prior to awarding any prize, 97.1 The Ticket, in its sole discretion, may require Contest winners and their travel companions, if any, to sign a liability release agreeing to hold 97.1 The Ticket, its licensee, its parent, subsidiary, and affiliated entities, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly, including any physical injuries, from participation in the Contest or the Contest prize.

d. Failure to comply with the Contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of 97.1 The Ticket

e.   The Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process; the operation of the Station’s Web Site or is otherwise in violation of the rules.  It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.

f. 97.1 The Ticket reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the Contest including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.  If due to circumstances beyond its control, any competition or prize related event or travel, is postponed, delayed, rescheduled, cancelled, or has a change of venue, 97.1 The Ticket reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the Contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.

g. 97.1 The Ticket is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Contest or in the announcement of a prize.

h. For the names of the prize winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope for receipt by February 13, 2008 to “97.1 The Ticket New Year’s Day Classic Contest - Winners, Attn: Courtney Olbrich, 31555 W. 14 Mile Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48334.  For Official Rules, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the above address marked “97.1 The Ticket New Year’s Day Classic Contest - Official Rules” for receipt by December 15, 2008.
