Most Red Wings fans are positive Lord Stanley's Cup is on it's way back to Motown. Get Hart Plaza ready, tell Pittsburgh and Philadelphia to not even bother finishing their series, heck tell Dallas that game four has been canceled! These are the thoughts of your typical Red Wing fan. There's no way they can lose! Ozzie's standing on his head, Datsyuk and Zetterberg are amazing and Nicklas Lidstrom is well Nicklas Lidstrom. It's not a question of if they'll win but by how much? I mean it's inevitable right? There's no way a key player could get hurt? Or they run into a "hot goalie"? Or no way the NHL really wants to pass the torch to some 20 year old kid who's been anointed the next Wayne Greztky, right?
I mean the Wings won the President's trophy meaning they had the best record in the NHL and the team with the best regular season record always wins the Stanley Cup, right? All I'm saying is before you go downtown to get a good spot for the parade you might want to watch the rest of the playoffs. I mean just in case something does go wrong...not that it can, right?
