LADY JANE’S HAIRCUT FOR MEN CATCH FOR A CUT CONTEST
OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1.  HOW TO ENTER

a. The Lady Jane’s Haircut for Men Catch for a Cut Contest (the “Contest”) will begin on Monday, September 28, 2009 at approximately 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and end on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at approximately 11:59 p.m. ET.

b. There are two (2) ways to enter:

1) ON-LINE ENTRY:  To participate in the Contest, go to www.971theticket.com and click the contest page.  Follow the links and instructions to enter and submit your first name and last name; complete address, including city, state and zip code; daytime telephone number (including area code); date of birth, and valid email address in the online entry form.   All online entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 to be deemed valid.

2) MAIL-IN ENTRY:  On a 3”x5” card, legibly print your full name, complete address (including city, state and zip code), daytime phone number (including area code), e-mail address (if any) and date of birth and mail it to “Lady Jane’s Haircut for Men Catch for a Cut Contest” c/o 97.1 The Ticket, 31555 W. 14 Mile Road, Ste. 102, Farmington Hills, MI  48334. 

All mail-in entries must be received by WXYT 97.1 The Ticket (the “Station”) by Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 5:00 PM to be deemed valid.  Entrants must allow sufficient time for postal delivery.  The receive date for all mail-in entries shall be determined by 97.1 The Ticket in their sole discretion, which shall be final and binding.

c. Only one entry per person regardless of the method of entry.  All entries submitted become the sole property of the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.  No mechanically reproduced, illegible or incomplete entries will be accepted, and the use of any device to automate entry is prohibited.  Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry.  The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning an email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address.  Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same email address.  Contest entries will be deemed null and void and will be rejected if not submitted through authorized, legitimate channels.  If a dispute as to the identity of any entrant (mail-in or internet) cannot be resolved to Station’s satisfaction, the entry will be deemed ineligible.  Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by Station.  Station’s computer is the official time keeping device for the Contest.  The Station is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties and other technological problems or for lost, misdelivered, illegible, incomplete or late entries or entries that are defective, unreadable or not received due to any other difficulties regarding such entries.   

2.  ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. The Contest is open to all legal residents of the state of Michigan who possess a valid government-issued picture ID, and are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.  Employees of Lady Jane’s Haircut for Men (“Sponsor”), the Detroit Lions, the Station, its licensee, and their respective parent, subsidiary, and affiliated entities, their advertising and promotional agencies, participating sponsors, and employees of other radio stations in the Detroit metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are not eligible to participate or win.

b. Winners must meet all eligibility requirements to receive any prize package.  Winners can only win a prize valued under $600 from Station once every 30 days, but winners of such prizes will remain eligible to win prizes of $600 or greater.  A winner of a prize of $600 or greater is not eligible for another prize valued at $600 or greater for six months.  Only one winner per household in any single Station promotion.

c. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent.  The Station will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements.  The Station will also delete any entry knowingly received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

3.  PRIZES

a. Six (6) Qualifier Prizes:  Each qualifier will receive a pair of tickets to see one Detroit Lions home game during the 2009-10 season.  One pair of tickets will be given away for each of the following 2009-10 home games: October 11, 2009, November 1, 2009, November 22, 2009, November 26, 2009, December 20, 2009 and January 3, 2010.  Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”):  $120.

b. Up to Six (6) Grand Prizes:  In addition to the qualifier prize, each qualifier will have the opportunity to win additional prizes based on the number of punts the qualifier catches during the attended game (see Section 4 for punt catch details).  The additional prizes are as follows:

1) If the qualifier catches zero (0) punts, no additional prizes are awarded.

2) If the qualifier catches one (1) punt, the qualifier will receive one (1) free haircut at a participating Lady Jane’s Haircut for Men (approximate retail value (“ARV”):  $16) and all men in attendance at Ford Field on that date will receive one (1) haircut at a cost of $10 (regular cost:  $16) at a participating Lady Jane’s Haircut for Men the day following the game provided a valid ticket stub is shown.

3) If the qualifier catches two (2) punts, the qualifier receives two (2) free haircuts at a participating Lady Jane’s Haircut for Men (ARV:  $32) and all men in attendance at Ford Field on that date will receive one (1) haircut at a cost of $5 (regular cost:  $16) at a participating Lady Jane’s Haircut for Men the day following the game provided a valid ticket stub is shown. 

4) If the qualifier catches all three (3) punts, the qualifier receives one (1) free haircut each month for twelve (12) months (ARV:  $192) at a participating Lady Jane’s Haircut for Men and all men in attendance at Ford Field on that date will receive one (1) free haircut (regular cost:  $16) at a participating Lady Jane’s Haircut for Men the day following the game provided a valid ticket stub is shown. 

c. The prizes will be subject to the terms and conditions as set forth by Sponsor. 

d. If a qualifier is unable to claim the qualifier prize, such prize winner will forfeit the qualifier prize and the opportunity to win a grand prize.  At the option of Station, an alternate prize winner may be selected from all remaining eligible entries.

e. Qualifier prizes must be picked up at the office of 97.1 The Ticket by 5:30 PM on the Friday prior to the scheduled game for which the qualifier won tickets.  If the qualifier does not claim prize within the stated time limit, it will be forfeited.  Forfeited prizes become the property of Station and may be awarded to an alternate prize winner.

e. There is no substitution, transfer or cash equivalent for prizes, except that the Station may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes or cash of comparable value.  The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and unless otherwise expressly specified, do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses.  Other restrictions may apply.

4.  SELECTION OF WINNERS

a. Decisions of Station management with respect to the Contest are final.

b. Station management will randomly select one (1) potential qualifier from all valid entries on the following dates:

October 7, 2009
October 28, 2009
November 18, 2009
November 23, 2009
December 16, 2009
December 30, 2009

Qualifiers will be contacted by 1:00 p.m. ET on the drawing dates specified above.  Odds depend on the number of valid entries received and on when your entry is received by Station.  Entrants not selected in each week’s drawing will be automatically eligible for all subsequent drawings so odds of winning increase with each additional drawing you are eligible for.

c. Each qualifier will receive a pair of tickets to the next Detroit Lions home game scheduled after the date of the drawing and the opportunity to go down on the field at halftime during such game.  While on the field, three punts will be directed toward the qualifier.  If the qualifier catches any of the punts, prizes will be awarded according to Section 3.b. of these rules.

d. Winner need not listen to the Station or be present to become a qualifier but must be present at the game to win a grand prize.

e. Station reserves the right to not choose a winner if no eligible entries are submitted.

f. Prize winners must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release by the Friday prior to the game the qualifier was selected to attend or the qualifier prize and opportunity to win a grand prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected in a random drawing of the remaining valid entries.  If a potential prize winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits the qualifier prize and opportunity to win a grand prize.

5. CONDITIONS

a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner.  The winner will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station (or any other CBS Radio station in Station’s market) in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more.  Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize.  Such winnings of $600 or more will be reported to the IRS.

b. By participating in the Contest, the winner agrees to have the winner’s name, voice and likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to the Contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.

c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station, in its sole discretion, may require Contest winner (and any travel companion(s) or guest(s)) to sign a liability release, agreeing to release and hold harmless the Station, its licensee, the licensee’s parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, their respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives and all of their successors and assigns from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize and participation in the Contest.

d. If for any reason this Contest cannot be executed as planned, including, but not limited to, as a result of infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Station that corrupt or affect the security, administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, or if the Contest is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Contest.  If the Contest is terminated before the original end date, the Station reserves the right to select the winners by random drawing from among all eligible non-suspect entries received as of the termination time/date or otherwise modify the procedure for selecting winners.

e. The Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Station’s website.  Failure to comply with the rules of the Contest may result in a contestant’s disqualification and/or forfeiture of any prize or prizes.  If the Station makes a good faith determination that an entrant has cheated or committed fraudulent activity in connection with a Contest, the Station reserves the right to disqualify that entrant from entering and/or winning future Contests and to prosecute and seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

f. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the Contest, including, without limitation, the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.  If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event or travel is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the Contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.

g. The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Contest or in the announcement of a prize

h. For the Official Rules, send a self-addressed stamped envelope for receipt by
Tuesday, December 29, 2009 to “Lady Jane’s Haircuts for Men Catch for a Cut Contest – Official Rules” c/o 97.1 The Ticket, 31555 W. 14 Mile Road, Ste. 102, Farmington Hills, MI 48334.  For the names of the prize winners send a self-addressed stamped envelope for receipt by Monday, April 31, 2010 to “Lady Jane’s Haircuts for Men Catch for a Cut Contest – Winner List” at the above address.  Official Rules and Winner Lists (when completed) shall also be available during regular business hours at the main offices of the Station.
