Jeff Riger is a veteran of the broadcasting industry. He has been a working member of the media for the past 10 years. Jeff, a graduate of Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts started his career at WPON 1460AM. While there he was a member of the “Triple Threat” radio show. After interning at WTKA in Ann Arbor and WWJ in Detroit, he got his first full-time job at WMLM in Alma, MI. From there, Jeff came back to Detroit and started working at WXYT-AM. After a cup of coffee at WSSP in Milwaukee, Jeff came back home, and now works full time at WXYT AM/FM. You can hear him on the weekends and also during and after Detroit Red Wing games. During his career, Jeff has covered Super Bowl XL in Detroit, the 2006 Detroit Tiger’s run for the World Series, the Pistons World Championship in 2004 and many other sporting events.
Jeff, who grew up in the Southfield/West Bloomfield area, considers Michigan’s “Fab Five” and sitting in the upper deck at Tiger Stadium heckling the players some of his favorite moments as a sports fan. Jeff also is a huge fan of Pop Culture and 80’s sitcoms. Jeff now lives in Farmington Hills with his two cats, Tram and Lou. In his spare time, Jeff loves to play cards and work out.
